1...2...3!

It's hard to believe this little girl is 3 years old. I'm working on book #3 for her now - she is going to have a library by the time she is 18!

Walking, playing, and SUCH a happy baby at 1.

Loved that I was able to capture "terrible 2!" We got so many great shots as well, but these were my favorite.

And now Miss Adie is not a little girl anymore. She is reading, jumping on beds, searching for bugs and dancing around the house in her ballet costume.

Sigh. They grow up too fast.

Through the eyes of a 2 year old

"Mommy's belly."

To a 2 year old, this can be very confusing and a little scary. For Elizabeth, I think she handled it quite well.

A little confused at first.

But then she began to understand that a little Elizabeth was inside Mommy's belly.

And then all was well for Elizabeth.

For the love of children

This past weekend, I had the privilege of photographing one of my sister's closest little friends. Our session was very special, as instead of taking payment for the images, I told little Dian to try her best to grow up to be a good person and try to make a difference in the world. At age 2 and a half, she smiled and nodded her head in agreement.

Love the joy in her face.

My sister with Dian. She teaches her piano lessons every Wednesday for an hour.

Emily quotes one of her favorite writer, Garrison Keillor, in response to my work:

"Nothing you do for children is ever wasted. They seem not to notice us,
hovering, averting our eyes, and they seldom offer thanks, but what we do
for them is never wasted."

Odin * 5 Days Old

Odin (Old Norse Óðinn), is considered the chief god in Norse paganism. He is a god of wisdom, war, battle and death. He is also attested as being a god of magic, poetry, prophecy, victory and the hunt.

What an appropriate name for a little boy.

A few weeks ago, Sarah & Michael contacted me for some belly photos. I am so thrilled when soon-to-be parents invite me into their homes for such an intimate session. There is nothing more special than documenting the sweet excitement of the coming weeks. Loved the two of them....

Little Odin arrived right on time, and boy did he sleep well during our session!

Can't wait to see him in a few months!

Modeling Scouts Wanted

Every child is beautiful. It's true. That's why I love my job so much - I can never take a bad photo of a child (well, I could maybe if it was out of focus...). Maxwell was really special and stood out to me. EVERY single shot I took of him just spoke to me.

If any of you know or is looking for child models, please contact me asap. I know SEVERAL little cuties, including Maxwell.

Migrating to Alice Park Photography

We are in the fun process of moving everything over from Folios to Alice Park Photography. Web, email, slideshows, online galleries, etc. Please be patient as we take this week to clean the system and finish our transition. We can't wait!

Welcome to my new blog!

I'm so excited to finally announce the new Alice Park blog! We've been working really hard to re-brand Folios to bring you a closer, more personal look at the person behind the lens. Here we will be updating every chance we can to showcase our recent sessions, new products, client news & all of the fun we (Kyu and I) have together!

Check us out often, bookmark/RSS us, and be sure to leave a comment when you can :)

Because I always love to blog with photos, here is a recent session I had with a chubby & oh-so-happy 9 month old.

Meet Jack.

Meet Bluey.

Everynight Bluey sleeps at Jack's bedside. Bluey is Jack's special guardian, protecting him and loving every minute they spend together. I wish I could do a book of Bluey too.
