Hanging out in the Highlands

Virginia HIghlands, that is.

My buddy Jack is 18 months old now. It's been so amazing watching this little peanut grow up before my eyes.... Now that he's entered a new chapter in his life, we went to one of my favorite streets in the city to watch him take it all in.

SNOW!

Gelato....yum.

So many to choose from...

And we met a new friend from Paper Source. I call him the velveteen rabbit.

Addy, Jack & Company

Absolutely LOVED this family! Addy was everything I love about a 10 month old, and Jack! ....He was quite possibly the sweetest, most well-behaved, and inquisitive 3 year old I've ever met.

The Beautiful Family,

Gorgeous blue eyes and the longest, little lashes! (oxymoron, I know.)

Jack.

...and his animals.

My favorites.

From Dad (and dad does not usually write with this many exclamation points!):

Thank you so much Alice! The slideshow is beautiful! We love it! You did such a great job of capturing Jack and Addy’s pure joy. Jack and Addy had so much fun having their pictures taken – we’ve been anxiously awaiting the results and really appreciate that you were able to get this slideshow put together so quickly (and do such a great job on it in such a short period of time.) We look forward to discussing next steps with you. Thanks again!

5 day old Jack & his puppies

It's not rare that during newborn sessions, I have the opportunity to walk around the house and photograph whatever inspires me. Their room, a sentimental note from mom, a blanket stitched by grandma.

I loved meeting Jack.

And his beautiful parents.

And during one of Jack's feedings, I met his dogs Sophie & Bella. What a joy they were to play with while passing the time!
